Fillmore Auditorium Denver
Olde English Masonry is repairing brick facades at the well-known concert venue in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Denver, which opened in 1907 as a roller skating rink. Masons ground out and tuckpointed deteriorated mortar joints, and replaced loose or broken brick. They also removed timber inbeds at the top of the north wall and replaced them with brick. The company is working directly with the owner’s representative on this maintenance project during the summer of 2011.
Red Lion Hotel, Denver Central
Crews removed existing precast sills at the west and east elevations of the hotel and reinstalled them. Many of the sills had to be replaced. The company contracted directly with the hotel’s owner, Hilton Hotels Corp. Repairs were completed in March of 2011.
Boulder County Regional Fire Training Center
Crews removed three sections of cement block walls at the Boulder County Regional Fire Training Center Burn Building (at the left of firefighters’ view) and rebuilt the walls with expansion joints. Olde English Masonry coordinated work with the City of Boulder. Work was completed in March of 2011.
South Adams County Fire District Station No. 5
- Repairs to this facility involved tuckpointing cracks in the mortar joints and installing control joints in the block walls. Masons also patched and replaced cracked CMU units. Olde English Masonry contracted with the South Adams County Fire District on this project. Work was completed in the winter of 2010.
- Innovative Openings Addition
Crews completed the CMU addition to Innovative Opening’s Louisville headquarters in 2008, working with general contractor Harrington Homes of Boulder.
RTD Driver Relief Station
Masons constructed this Driver Relief Station at the Lafayette Park-N-Ride using Concrete Masonry Units with integral water repellant. Acting as the general contractor was Aslan Construction Inc. of Loveland.
